Take a flyover tour of our property:
Established in 1975, Rose City Nursery has over 10 acres of tree lots and plant material, with our over-100 year-old glass greenhouse as the centerpiece. The greenhouse features some of the original cypress planks, completely refurbished and rebuilt by hand after being relocated from Cincinnati. The outdoor area of our garden center displays various plant materials including water plants, and what is currently in bloom. Our custom retail center features an indoor waterfall and skylight.
The Garden Center
Our main entrance features a large parking area that comfortably accommodates trailers for mulch orders, and landscaping materials.
The main walkway that leads to our Garden Center will take you through our display area that shows off what is in bloom!
Fun fact: Rose City Nursery is one of the few suppliers in the Wayne County area that carries a variety of aquatic plants!
Through the spring and summer, our outdoor display is home to our colorful annuals, hanging baskets, and mixed pots!
Inside the garden center is another home to our annuals, but also houseplants, garden décor, and potting supplies.
We carry a variety of soil additives, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, with organic and natural options!
The Greenhouse
A look inside our historic glass greenhouse:
Several of our annuals are started from seed right here at our nursery! Every pot, pack, and hanging basket is planted with great care and attention to detail.
We carry not only wide varieties of annuals, but different types and colors within each of those annual's family.
Our annuals have been handpicked by our seasoned professionals and analyzed over each growing season to ensure the best quality for our customers.
The Tree Lots
Organized by type and size, the first two tree lots you will encounter at our entrance are also home to our tree form Hydrangeas -
and tree form Rose of Sharon!
Adjacent to the first tree lot is the home of our other small trees, such as Dogwoods and Redbuds!
We carry a very wide variety of trees, but all with the research, testing, and intention for what grows well in our Midwestern Zone.
From season to season, these lots never lack color or character.
A newer addition to our tree lots, are larger varieties of evergreens!
